The British Columbia Academic Advising Association (BCADA) was established to meet the needs of professionals working in  "advising fields" at universities, colleges, and institutes.

Our mandate is to promote the educational development of students through quality academic advising.  BCADA provides the platform for BC academic advisors to improve advising support services through the exchange ideas in a variety of formats including our annual conference each year. 

Providing provincially located professional development opportunities for academic advisors is essential for the fostering of institutional confidence in the academic advising profession.

BCADA is an recognized allied member of the National Academic Advising Association(NACADA) the world leader in academic advising research, theory and professional development.
